From the bandcamp site:
Affiliated with dubstep tastemakers White Peach Records, DUPLOC and Encrypted Audio, Rygby developed a unique sound, characterized by harmonious melodies fueled with heavyweight sub bass rumbling.
Rygby always had a flare for experimentation with style and genre. So it follows that his debut album is a diverse, multi-genre masterpiece built upon various influences around the 140 sound. For "Halcyon Days" the Bristol producer worked together with the likes of Samba, Mr.K, Koma and Bunker and features vocalists Griz-O and Reem. The artist remains rather mysterious about the personal story he is telling with the heavily nostalgic "Halcyon Days", yet topics like dystopia, capitalism and visions of the future have all been a source of inspiration.
The project was originally self-released by Rygby early 2020. Although, this very album inspired record label DUPLOC to launch DUPLOC ROYALS, its new sister label to exclusively push forward LPs. Exactly one year later the album is more relevant than ever and is now available through all digital retailers as an official re-release to show due respect to this cult classic as well as being the first much promising release from the DUPLOC ROYALS imprint.
